Sanexen Services Environnementaux inc.

Our Company

Sanexen Environmental Services Inc. is a contractor and consultant specializing in the environmental management of contaminated site remediation and water main rehabilitation. Our mission is to actively participate in the development of solutions aimed at fulfilling current and future environmental management needs. Over the years, Sanexen has developed a profound expertise, as well as technologies adapted to the needs of private corporations and public organizations facing various environmental issues.

Our Personnel

The company relies on the knowledge and experience of a team of more than 400 employees comprising several scientists and professionals including engineers, Earth science specialists (geology, hydrogeology, etc.), biologists, chemists, toxicologists and environmental technicians.

Our Services

SITE REMEDIATION

Sanexen performs work relating to the characterization and remediation of lands and buildings for residential, commercial or industrial real estate development purposes within the scope of real estate transactions or environmental enhancement of sites. Each characterization or remediation is treated as a unique project. All possible options are systematically evaluated before being proposed to the client.

REGULATED MATERIALS MANAGEMENT

The Regulated Materials Management department ensures that all hazardous and non-hazardous materials, in bulk or drums, whether they are in liquid,  solid or gaseous form, are eliminated in an environmentally compliant manner. We offer a wide range of services, from decontaminating mineral oil to complete management of equipment, soils and various products contaminated by PCBs, including providing destruction or treatment certificates.

REVEGETATION

The Revegetation Division uses various techniques to remediate degraded sites. The goal of these techniques is to transform sterile tailings into a substrate capable of supporting sustainable ecosystems, as opposed to relying on traditional covering techniques. These techniques, used to restore more than thirty sites in the Province of Quebec, have successfully withstood the test of time.

RISK ASSESSMENT

We offer complete toxicological risk assessment services. Since 1996, our department has successfully completed several hundred studies to the satisfaction of our public and private clients in Quebec and across Canada.

The risk assessment approach evaluates the risks relating to contamination, whether accidental or resulting from ongoing activities. Such risks could have negative effects on humans or the environment.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT AND COMPLIANCE

The Environmental Management and Compliance Department offers coaching and development for the implementation and maintenance of an environmental management system (ISO : 14001, OHSAS 18001, BOMA BEST), environmental compliance auditing and legal monitoring, training, development of emergency response plans, GHG quantification certificate of approvals, permits as well as the production of various types of reports and steps to define and implement a sustainable development strategy.

WATER MAIN REHABILITATION WITH THE AQUE-PIPE® TECHNOLOGY

At the start of the new millennium, Sanexen developed a new water system rehabilitation process that uses a trenchless method. This process is intended for cities and industries experiencing a need for significant maintenance work when the drinking water supply system has reached the end of its useful life.

The process, called Aqua-Pipe®, was developed by Sanexen‘s team of engineers. This technology eliminates the need for complete excavation of road foundations, followed by replacement, by using the existing water pipe to build a new one. This innovative method translates to water system rehabilitation at a distinctly lower cost.

INDOOR SOILS TREATMENT CENTRE Sol+®

Sol+ is the first indoor treatment centre for hydrocarbon-impacted soils on the Island of Montreal. Sanexen uses various MDDELCC recognized techniques, including biodegradation, soil vapour extraction or bioventing.
