Company

Several companies in the field of construction and landscaping are found to be at the root of the Cintec Group.  Since 1986, a major project in Canada, in the Montreal area, lead the Group to orient its activities in the environmental sector. The project involved rehabilitation of a contaminated former industrial plant and the construction of a maximum security cell to encapsulate 750,000 m³ of contaminated soils. The project was completed in 1989.

In 1989, Cintec Environnement inc. obtained the authorization from the Ministry of Environment of Quebec to build and operate a new secure landfill site for contaminated soils. Operations at this site began in 1990 and is in operation to this date.
