Enviro-access’s verification activities are based on the specifications and guidelines of internationally recognized standard ISO 14064-3. In addition, through its accreditation, Enviro-access implemented mechanisms to ensure its impartiality (see our impartiality policy) and the competency of our verification team members.
During the verification, the evaluation requires a visit at the facilities covered by the project or the GHG emissions inventory, to gather facts that will support the opinion Enviro-access will issue in its verification notice. The number of facilities visited is determined in the sampling plan, and interviews with management and staff are also conducted during the visits. Within this process, the project sponsor or organization may be called upon to answer questions from the auditors regarding various aspects of the greenhouse gas assertion.
