Trousse_municipale_logo_F_outMa municipalité efficace, a tool for energy efficiency and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), unveil a new chapter on managing and reducing GHG emissions! With the collaboration of several experts in the field, including Enviro-access, municipalities and the Association québécoise pour la maîtrise de l’énergie, this chapter was created to provide solutions and information for municipalities on possible methods to perform an inventory of their GHG emissions (corporate and community inventories).

This chapter will help municipalities to know what to consider in their action plan to reduce GHG emissions, what financial supports and what resources are available to them, and more. You can access this new chapter right here and start to equip yourself for the reduction of GHG emissions in your own municipality.

In addition, a case study of the Ville de Charlemagne is also available online. It describes the city’s success in the quantification and reduction of their GHG emissions and the methods used for this purpose.

Enviro-access worked with 54 municipalities and Regional county municipalities of Quebec in the framework of the Climat municipalités program and assisted them in the elaboration of their first GHG emissions inventory and GHG reduction action plan. Up to now, more than 300 GHG reduction actions, adapted to the context of Quebec municipalities, were identified and quantified.
