The Université de Sherbrooke has dedicated itself to the research and development of new environmental technologies. Seeing the need for resource conservation and development, the Université de Sherbrooke set up a Bureau de liaison entreprises-université (BLEU). This facility enables the university to undertake research and encourages the sharing and transfer of technology, knowledge and expertise to industry.
The Université de Sherbrooke has a large number of researchers working both nationally and internationally. These researchers actively take part in the development of new technology and in scientific environmental research.
SERVICES OFFERED
The Université de Sherbrooke has more than 150 researchers, professionals and technicians spread out among 13 research groups and centres. This basic, but detailed, research is aimed at finding solutions to enrionmental problems and to the optimization of industrial decontamination procedures.
- The university offers access and updates to various environmental research.
- Staff participates in the organization of an annual conference, involving researchers and local industry, focusing on research done in the environmental technology sector;
- Access to the university's professors, reserachers, students, as well as to the university's facilities.
