Commercial activities
ACTIVATED CARBON
A.C. Carbone Canada Inc. offers a wide range of activated carbons to solve virtually any adsorption problem. No matter what the application – whether it’s gas phase, liquid phase or process application we can offer a solution based on knowledge and experience. “We know what we sell.”
- Standard carbons
We manufacture and distribute coconut shell, coal, and some wood-based carbons in granular, pelletized, and powder form. Internal pore structure, activity level, mesh size, and packaging can be tailored to specific contaminants, adsorption equipment and/or customer requirements.
- Impregnated carbons / Specialty products
These specialty activated carbons have been chemically treated or coated to remove compounds from gas streams and some liquid phase applications, chemical adsorption and/or catalytic reaction. Formulations have been developed for removal of specific contaminants such as Acid gases (H2S, SO2, HBR, Fluorine, etc…) Ammonia, Amines, Alcohols, Aldehydes, Formaldehyde and Mercury. In addition we also carry the Oilsorb™ Media, Zeolites, Bone Char, special blended organoclays and other carbons. We have products that cover higher solubility contaminants as well as heavy metals removal.
- Activated Carbon Filter Fiber Media
Used for both filtration and and purification. Easy to use, flexible, pliable, disposable. Available in 2mm and 4mm thicknesses.
- Solvent Recovery Carbons
A variety of granular and pelletized activated carbons are available for control of organic emissions and economical recovery of valuable process solvents. These specialty carbons exhibit high working capacities, low energy consumption, low retentivity, and low pressure drop characteristics. Standard solvent recovery carbons are also available.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL EQUIPMENT
Low-cost, CANSORBER adsorbers are widely used for short-term or long-term air and water purification. Available in drum canister, F.R.P., carbon steel, stainless steel, and pressures up to 150 PSI. Easily installed units permit high flexibility in most any treatment system design. Can be installed in passive or non passive modes and run in single, parallel, series or multiple parallel/series adsorption units can be used to accommodate contact time and flow rates required.
- Cansorber Vapor-Phase
Contaminated air can simply be ducted to one or more CANSORBER VP carbon adsorbers which contain specially selected activated carbon or media. The carbon adsorbs the pollutants or odour producing chemicals, allowing clean air to be vented to atmosphere.
- Cansorber Liquid-Phase
The liquid phase adsorption system is both efficient and flexible. The CANSORBER LP provides a simple solution to most liquid phase problems with activated carbon, organoclays and other specialty media. Single, parallel, series or multiple parallel/series adsorption units can be used to accommodate contact time and flow rates required. Custom vessels are also available.
AIR PURIFICATION SYSTEMS
Today’s research continues to indicate that the best, most effective method of removing odours, irritating vapours and broad spectrum of contaminants from areas is through the use of activated carbon filters. Activated carbon air purification is commonly used to clean and improve the air in hospitals, conference rooms, smoking areas, manufacturing plants, refrigerated storage areas, warehouses and homes among other occupied spaces where superior air quality is desired. You can find a wide variety of air purification equipment for residential, commercial and industrial use. Our selection includes portable air purifiers, panel adsorbers and deep bed carbon systems.
- Portable Air purifier
Simple, portable, functional and self-contained, the units can be located near odour sources for intermittent use, or installed in one area for continuous air clean-up. Using an electric blower drawing contaminated air through its activated carbon-filled canister or panel, recirculating pure, odour-free air throughout the area. We have different models of air purifiers with different type of carbon. Our experienced staff will help you select the types which are most applicable to your specific needs.
- Cansorber Canister Filters and Custom Made Durable 16-18 gauge panel filters
These are of a radial flow design. Each canister contains a 2-1/2 inch thick bed of activated carbon for effective control of odours and vapours. Galvanized steel construction is used for air purification. Consult your A.C. Carbone Canada representative to determine which type of carbon media is appropriate for your special filtration needs. Custom sizes are also available for virtually any application, from kitchen hoods to industrial heavy equipment (farm tractors, loaders, etc.) where worker protection, health and safety are priorities.
- Permanent filters and deep bed carbon systems
Perfect for commercial and industrial duty application, these activated carbon refillable filters are designed to improve IAQ by removing odours and irritants associated with cigarette smoking, cooking, car and truck exhaust and manufacturing processes. In most cases, the purified air can be re-circulated resulting in reduced make-up air requirements and energy savings.
