Research domains are structured around four core areas: (1) human health, governance and ecosystems dynamics, (2) dynamics and governance of urban environment, (3) integrated et concerted forest resource management and (4) integrated and concerted water resource management. The institute has several partnerships in Canada as well as internationally. Research projects are interdisciplinary and cover several disciplines.
